Ugly scenes were witnessed during the Eliminator match of the Delhi Premier League 2025 (DPL 2025) on Friday, August 29, at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi, when Nitish Rana and Digvesh Rathi got involved in a heated verbal altercation. West Delhi Lions' Nitish Rana was tearing through South Delhi Superstarz’s bowling attack with a breathtaking 134* off just 55 balls as he helped his side chase down 202 in 17.1 overs and win the match by seven wickets. With the win, West Delhi Lions have moved to the Qualifier 2, where they will face East Delhi Riders on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the ugly spat between Rana and Rathi broke out when Rathi pulled away when he was ready to release the bowl earlier in the over. Soon, Rana reacted by doing exactly the same on the next delivery, backing out. Later things took a drastic turn when Rathi was smashed for a boundary. Both players angrily exchanged a few words before being separated by on-field umpires.
