The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), according to reports, has lodged an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Pakistan cricketers Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf, citing on-field gestures during the Asia Cup Super Four match between India and Pakistan held in Dubai last Sunday. The complaint details Haris Rauf gesturing towards Indian fans from the boundary and Sahibzada Farhan’s dramatic celebration after reaching his half-century.

Rauf, while fielding near the boundary rope during India’s innings, appeared to make a hand gesture towards a section of the crowd, mimicking the motion of a crashing plane. Haris Rauf was also involved in a heated confrontation with Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan, immediately after reaching his half-century, celebrated in a rather unusual way. He mimicked firing a gun gesture with his bat.

If Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan deny the allegations, an ICC hearing could take place, with Elite Panel Match Referee Richie Richardson likely to preside. If the duo fail to justify their actions, sanctions could be imposed as per the code of conduct.
