Australia have unveiled their squads for the upcoming three ODIs and the first two T20Is of the five-match series against India, with some eye-catching selections and returns. The ODI series is scheduled to begin on 19 October, while the T20I series will be played from October 29 to November 8, serving as a crucial platform for preparation for the upcoming Men's T20 World Cup in 2026.

Mitchell Starc has been named in the ODI squad, marking his re‑entry into Australia's limited-overs setup. Starc, who has retired from T20Is, sat out August's series against South Africa to manage his workload ahead of the Ashes.

Matthew Renshaw has earned a recall into the ODI squad after a strong domestic run, including a century in the Sheffield Shield. Marnus Labuschagne misses out in this white-ball reshuffle. Mitchell Marsh will lead the side in both ODIs and T20Is.

Notably, Alex Carey is part of the ODI squad but will miss the first match as he will be playing for the South Australian Redbacks in the Sheffield Shield against Queensland. Cameron Green features in the ODI squad but not in T20s. Glenn Maxwell has not been included in the squad after breaking his arm at training last week.

Australia ODI squad: Mitchell Marsh (c), Xavier Bartlett, Alex Carey, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Mitchell Owen, Matthew Renshaw, Matthew Short, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa

Australia T20I squad (first two games): Mitchell Marsh (c), Sean Abbott, Xavier Bartlett, Tim David, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Matthew Kuhnemann, Mitchell Owen, Matthew Short, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa
