IND vs WI, 2nd Test: All you need to know: date, time, head-to-head

Following a resounding victory in the series opener, India head into the second Test with their eyes firmly set on wrapping up the series in emphatic fashion. The second Test between India and West Indies is set to begin on Friday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The hosts were utterly dominant in the first Test, crushing the West Indies by an innings and 140 runs.

India’s batting performance in the first Test was nothing short of a statement. Piling up a daunting 448/5 declared, the Indian top and middle order showed great maturity. KL Rahul, returning to form with a patient and elegant century, laid the foundation early on. He was supported by debutant wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel, whose assured ton marked him as a rising star in the Indian Test side. Ravindra Jadeja also stole the show, slamming a century and claiming figures of 4 for 54.

For West Indies, the loss was as demoralising as it was revealing. Their batters failed to apply themselves, and their bowlers struggled to maintain control against India’s mighty batting display. The side now faces an uphill battle not only to level the series but also to restore some pride after a disheartening performance. The visitors will be desperate to find answers as they expect their key players to step up.
