All teams confirmed for 2026 Men's T20 World Cup as UAE secure spot in the marquee event

United Arab Emirates (UAE) have booked their place in the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, after a dominant eight-wicket victory over Japan in the Asia-East Asia Pacific (Asia-EAP) Qualifier on Thursday. The emphatic win saw the UAE finish as one of the top qualifiers from the region, joining Nepal and Oman as the final three teams to secure their tickets to next yearโs T20 World Cup. With UAE, Nepal, and Oman sealing the final qualification spots, the full 20-team line-up for the 2026 T20 World Cup is now confirmed.
India and Sri Lanka automatically qualify as co-hosts of the tournament. They are joined by the top seven teams from the 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup, held in the United States and the West Indies.

In addition, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Ireland secured their places based on their ICC T20I rankings at the qualification cut-off point. Other teams include Canada, Netherlands, Italy, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
