West Indies leave out Gudakesh Motie for NZ T20Is, bring in Matthew Forde

West Indies have named a 15-member squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand starting November 5. Matthew Forde, who has returned from injury, has been named in the squad. While Gudakesh Motie has been left out of the squad. He will instead undertake focused technical work on his bowling action. The Cricket West Indies (CWI) cited a “recent dip in form” linked to technical issues as reasons for the decision.

Matthew Forde, who has been sidelined since July following a shoulder injury, has been cleared for selection and will rejoin the squad for the New Zealand tour. West Indies have also brought in Shamar Springer to strengthen their pace attack. Shai Hope will lead the squad that includes the likes of Alick Athanaze, Roston Chase, Jason Holder, Rovman Powell and Brandon King.
