Mohammed Shami traded to Lucknow Super Giants
India’s veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has been traded from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Shami endured an underwhelming 2025 campaign and the latest deal marks a crucial moment in his high-profile IPL journey. He joined SRH in the IPL 2025 mega auction for a huge sum pf Rs10 crore, but he struggled to make an impact.
Across nine matches, he claimed just six wickets. He last represented India in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 but since then has been sidelined. Lucknow Super Giants have also secured the services of Mumbai Indians' Arjun Tendulkar.
In another development, Mayank Markande, who represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2025, has joined MI. And South Africa all-rounder Donovan Ferreira has returned to Rajasthan Royals. Nitish Rana has joined Delhi Capitals, leaving Rajasthan Royals.
