Pak T20I tri-series: Zimbabwe square off against Sri Lanka in consequential battle

Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are set to face off in the second match of the Pakistan T20I tri-series on Thursday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The match carries significant weight, with both teams entering the match on the back of negative results.
Zimbabwe return to the field, hoping to bounce back from their opening defeat against hosts Pakistan. Despite fighting hard, Zimbabwe failed to sustain momentum, thus losing the game. Their challenge now is to come back stronger and beat Sri Lanka to stay afloat in the competition.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka will be stepping onto the Rawalpindi turf for their first-ever T20I at the venue. They head into the tri-series on the back of a humbling ODI series loss to Pakistan just last week. The side, which will be led by stand-in captain Dasun Shanaka, will be desperate to turn the tide in the shorter format, where their explosive potential could help them gain momentum.
