BAN vs IRE: Bangladesh bring in Mohammad Saifuddin and Mahidul Islam Ankon for first two T20Is

Bangladesh have selected their T20I squad for the upcoming three-match series against Ireland, naming all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin and wicketkeeper-batter Mahidul Islam Ankon for the first two games. The pair come in for Taskin Ahmed and Shamim Hossain, both of whom featured in Bangladesh’s recent T20I series against the West Indies. 

Mahidul Islam Ankon has received his maiden call-up to the T20I side. Ankon, a promising wicketkeeper-batter, has been on the selectors’ radar due to consistent domestic performances. 

Meanwhile, Litton Das will lead the side that sees the presence of Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, and Shoriful Islam. The three-match series will be played in Chattogram, with all three matches scheduled on November 27, 29 and December 2, respectively.
