Harmanpreet Kaur and Yuvraj Singh stands unveiled at at New Chandigarh Stadium

Ahead of the second T20I between India and South Africa at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, two of India's most celebrated figures were honored in a truly special way. India women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur and former India men’s all-rounder Yuvraj Singh had stadium stands officially named after them.
The inauguration took place just before the start of the match, with both players present on the ground.
Yuvraj Singh retired from international cricket in 2019. His international career, which spanned almost two decades, saw him play 40 Tests, 304 ODIs, and 58 T20Is. Yuvraj was a key figure in India’s first T20 World Cup triumph in 2007 and in the 2011 ODI World Cup win. Harmanpreet Kaur, who is the current captain of India’s women’s cricket team, recently led India to their first-ever ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup victory.
