Bangladesh name strong squad for T20 World Cup 2026
Bangladesh have confirmed a strong 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February and March. Litton Das will continue as captain, steering the Tigers’ campaign as they aim to make a mark at the global event.
Bangladesh’s batting unit boasts formidable names. Alongside Litton Das, top-order options include Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan, while Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy and Shamim Hossain bring stability in the middle order. Jaker Ali, who has featured regularly for Bangladesh in T20Is, has been omitted.
Taskin Ahmed returns to the side after missing the recent Ireland series. Meanwhile, they have been drawn in Group C, along with England, West Indies, Italy and Nepal.
