Netherlands announce squad for 2026 men’s T20 World Cup

The Netherlands have unveiled their squad for the upcoming 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup, with wicketkeeper-batter Scott Edwards set to continue as captain. The squad features several notable names who have been on the global stage before. However, the squad reflects a significant reshuffle from the team that toured Bangladesh in August–September, which was also Netherlands’ last T20I assignment.
Players like Roelof van der Merwe, Bas de Leede, Michael Levitt, and Zach Lion-Cachet have made their return to the side. Experienced all-rounder Colin Ackermann has also earned a recall. He last featured in a T20I in November 2024 but has caught the selector's attention through strong domestic form.
Netherlands have been placed in Group A alongside Pakistan, Namibia, USA and defending champions India. Notably, Netherlands will mark their seventh appearance at the Men's T20 World Cup.
Netherlands squad: Scott Edwards (c), Colin Ackermann, Noah Croes, Bas de Leede, Aryan Dutt, Fred Klaassen, Kyle Klein, Michael Levitt, Zach Lion-Cachet, Max O'Dowd, Logan van Beek, Timm van der Gugten, Roelof van der Merwe, Paul van Meekeren, Saqib Zulfiqar
