WPL 2026: Struggling Giants come against battle-hardened RCB

As the Women’s Premier League (WPL) shifts to the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, the spotlight will be on a crucial clash between Gujarat Giants women and Royal Challengers Bengaluru women set to be held on Monday. Both teams are eyeing a great start at the new venue, as it marks the beginning of the Vadodara leg of the tournament.
RCB head into the match riding a wave of confidence, having secured four victories in a row. They remain unbeaten and sit comfortably at the top of the points table. For them, the success has come on the back of their consistency across all three departments. RCB have looked assured and flawless, coming out strongly in every game.
On the other hand, Gujarat Giants will be hoping for an improved showing to power their way back into the tournament. Despite winning two of their four games and sitting on third place on the table, back-to-back defeats have put them in trouble. In the reverse game between these two teams earlier in the tournament, RCB secured a thumping win. After losing early wickets, Bengaluru steadied the innings through a vital partnership between Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh. Radha scored 66 off 47, while Richa Ghosh made 44 off 28 to lift RCB to a total of 182. Later, RCB's bowlers bowled Giants out for 150 in 18.5 overs.
