The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India's squad for the one-off Women’s Test against Australia at the WACA in Perth starting on March 6, with Pratika Rawal being handed a sensational recall to the national side. She last featured for India in last year’s ODI World Cup. Rawal played a starring role in India’s title-winning campaign before injury cut her tournament short. Rawal was the fourth-highest run-scorer at the 2025 Women's ODI World Cup, piling up 308 in six innings.

India will be led by Harmanpreet Kaur as captain, with Smriti Mandhana serving as vice-captain. India have also handed maiden Test call-ups to left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma and seamer Kranti Gaud. Notably, young wicket-keeper G Kamalini has been ruled out of India's Australia tour with an injury, and the management has brought in Uma Chetry as her replacement in India's T20Is and ODI squads.

Other notable players in the squad are Shafali Varma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Amanjot Kaur, Richa Ghosh, Harleen Deol and Deepti Sharma.

India vs Australia Test squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Amanjot Kaur, Richa Ghosh (wk), Uma Chetry (wk), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Renuka Singh Thakur, Sneh Rana, Kranti Gaud, Vaishnavi Sharma, Sayali Satghare
