Nepal are gearing up for their Group C encounter against Italy at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. This is an opportunity for Nepal to bounce back after a spirited performance against England on Sunday. Although they fell just short against England, Nepal showcased their fearless approach and growing confidence in high-pressure situations. 

Chasing a target of 185, Nepal, with their incredible batting, nearly pulled off a memorable upset, finishing on 180/6 in 20 overs. This will be the first-ever meeting between Nepal and Italy in international cricket. Italy, playing in their first major global tournament, are still finding their footing at this level. 

Their debut match was quite challenging, as they suffered a 73-run defeat against Scotland. Going against Nepal, Italy will look to respond strongly after a difficult start. Meanwhile, for Nepal, it is a big chance to build on a near-upset and come out strongly.
