Mayank Agarwal joins Durham for county championship run-in

Former India Test opener Mayank Agarwal is set for a new stint in English county cricket after signing with Durham for the final stretch of the Rothesay County Championship season. He joins the side at a crucial time with the side in total control of the Division Two promotion race.
Durham have produced an impressive record so far, having seven victories and three draws from their ten matches. Now with four games to go, they have a commanding 40-point advantage at the top of the table.
"Mayank is a hugely talented batter who has a superb first-class record, we look forward to him contributing to Durham as we look to secure our return to Division One of the County Championship," head coach Ryan Campbell said in a release.
During the latest Ranji Trophy campaign, Mayank scored 678 runs at an average of 42.37. His season included an impressive 160 in the final.
