Scotland, Nepal eye dominant finish in dead rubber

In a dead-rubber clash that carries little consequence for the points table, Scotland and Nepal are gearing up to meet in their final Group C encounter at the Wankhede Stadium during the ICC T20 World Cup on Tuesday. For Scotland, this tournament was a gift, as they were never meant to be part of the global showpiece, brought in only after Bangladesh’s withdrawal created a late opening.
From the outset, Scotland showed competitiveness. Against West Indies, they pushed a seasoned T20 powerhouse deep into the contest, giving a tough fight. Their victory over Italy was another example of their brilliance. Across all departments, Scotland operated with clarity and confidence.
Most importantly, they gave hard times to England. They held periods of control, but missed opportunities brought them disappointment. Nepal, on the other hand, kicked off their campaign dominantly, earning praise by pushing England to the brink in their opener.
The confidence of that near-upset was followed by sobering defeats against Italy and West Indies. Nepal suffered heavy losses that highlighted their recklessness. Their aggression and confidence resulted in negative results for them, with their batters and bowlers struggling to build momentum.
