Ahead of the start of the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings captain David Warner showed his frustration during a media interaction that also involved several team captains. The incident occurred while Warner was addressing a question about the prospects of the Karachi Kings.

As he addressed the question, a group of fellow captains, including Marnus Labuschagne, Hyderabad Kingsmen captain, Shaheen Shah Afridi of Lahore Qalandars, Mohammad Rizwan from Rawalpindi, Babar Azam of Peshawar Zalmi, and Saud Shakeel representing Quetta Gladiators, were engaged in a separate conversation, laughing among themselves.

Warner paused mid-response and pointed out by saying, "What's going on, gentlemen? Apologies, we've got some school kids in here," Warner said.

Talking about PSL 2026, the upcoming season of PSL is set to be played behind closed doors. Furthermore, the number of venues has been reduced from six to two – Lahore and Karachi. In another major change, organisers have cancelled the traditional opening ceremony.

These adjustments have taken place in the wake of ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia. The tournament, which is set to begin on March 26, will see Lahore Qalandars take on Hyderabad Kingsmen in the opening showdown. Karachi Kings, on the other hand, will face Quetta Gladiators in their opening match on March 27.
