Gujarat Titans pulled off a narrow one-run victory over Delhi Capitals in a high-scoring encounter at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, with Delhi batter KL Rahul’s masterful innings of 92 going in vain. Chasing a big target of 211, Delhi Capitals got off to a blazing start courtesy of Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul. The duo took the attack to Gujarat's bowlers right from the outset, putting pressure on them. Nissanka looked in sublime touch during his stay at the crease, scoring a quickfire 41 before his dismissal halted the early momentum.

Despite losing his opening partner, KL Rahul continued to anchor the innings with class. He kept Delhi in the match with a lovely 92, showcasing his trademark elegance. However, his dismissal proved to be the turning point of the match. Once Rahul departed, Delhi Capitals’ innings lost direction, as the middle order failed to rise to the occasion under pressure. The match swung completely in the final over as Prasidh Krishna didn't allow David Miller to take Delhi Capitals over the line, defending 13 runs. DC finished at 209/8 in 20 overs.

Earlier, Gujarat Titans had put up a formidable total of 210/4 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a commanding 70 off 45 balls. Jos Buttler played a blistering knock of 52 from 27 deliveries, and Washington Sundar's quickfire 55 off 32 balls added further impetus to the innings.
