CSK cruise to splendid win over KKR

Chennai Super Kings, putting on a skilful all-round show in Chennai on Tuesday, overwhelmed Kolkata Knight Riders with a massive 32-run win to secure back-to-back victories in the tournament. After being asked to bat, CSK started their innings positively, with Sanju Samson leading the charge with a magnificent 48 and anchoring the innings early on. For CSK, the steady flow of runs continued after Dewald Brevis added valuable momentum with an aggressive 41. Young batter Ayush Mhatre also made a handy contribution of 38. Sarfaraz Khan scored 23 as CSK finished at 192/5 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, KKR got off to the worst possible start when Finn Allen fell for one run. The early setback put massive pressure on the batting lineup. Sunil Narine and Ajinkya Rahane attempted to stabilise the innings, putting together a brief partnership with scores of 24 and 28, respectively.
However, their departures in quick succession left KKR struggling. Young Angkrish Raghuvanshi showed some intent with a fighting 27, but his effort went in vain. The collapse deepened when KKR's high-profile signing Cameron Green was dismissed for a golden duck. Rovman Powell and Anukul Roy remained unbeaten on 31 and 1 as KKR finished at 160/7 in 20 overs, suffering their fourth consecutive defeat in the tournament.
