Karachi Kings bring in Jason Roy as replacement for Muhammad Waseem
Karachi Kings have made a change to their squad for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026, bringing in experienced opener Jason Roy as a replacement for Muhammad Waseem. The move comes after Waseem, along with Khuzaima bin Tanveer, was called up to represent the United Arab Emirates in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 fixtures taking place in Nepal.
Roy is no stranger to the PSL, having been part of the competition since its early years. Over multiple seasons, he has built a reputation as one of the most destructive batters in the league. Previously, he had played for Lahore Qalandars and later became a key figure for Quetta Gladiators.
Overall, he has scored 1,260 runs, including two centuries and eight half-centuries. Talking about Karachi Kings' PSL 2026 campaign, they began their 2026 campaign in strong fashion, winning their first three matches. However, their form has dipped since then, with back-to-back defeats halting their progress.
