Pakistan reveal squad for Bangladesh Tests, call up four uncapped players

Pakistan have unveiled a 16-man squad for their upcoming two-match Test series in Bangladesh, mixing fresh talent with experienced leadership both on and off the field. In the squad, Pakistan have named four uncapped players in the form of Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Ghazi Ghori. Among these newcomers, only Ghori has featured in a solitary ODI against Bangladesh in Mirpur last month.

Shan Masood will lead the squad that features the likes of stars like Babar Azam, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Noman Ali and Sajid Khan. Meanwhile, former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed will serve as as head coach following his recent retirement from international cricket.

Sarfaraz brings great leadership experience, having guided Pakistan to Champions Trophy glory in 2017. Asad Shafiq and Umar Gul will oversee the batting and bowling units, respectively. Notably, before the tour begins, all selected players, apart from those currently participating in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL), will link up in Karachi for a red-ball training camp scheduled from April 27 to May 1. The first Test will begin on May 8 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium
