Samson century helps CSK crush MI

Sanju Samson blazed a magnificent century, helping Chennai Super Kings crush Mumbai Indians by 103 runs in their IPL rivalry at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. The night totally belonged to Sanju Samson, whose sensational unbeaten century guided CSK to a great total that turned the match into a one-sided affair.
After being asked to bat, CSK were in a terrible position early on, losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Samson stepped up with a masterclass performance, controlling the innings brilliantly. He remained unbeaten on 101 off 54 deliveries, taking the side to a formidable total of 207/6 in 20 overs. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians’ chase never had momentum. Their innings began on a disastrous note, with the top order collapsing under pressure. Quinton de Kock fell cheaply for 7, while Danish Malewar and Naman Dhir were dismissed for ducks.
A brief recovery came through Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma, who tried to steady the innings with contributions of 36 and 37, respectively. But once they departed, the rest of the batting lineup crumbled quickly as MI were folded for 104 in 19 overs.
