Sunrisers Hyderabad have brought in promising young all-rounder RS Ambrish as a replacement for injured pacer Shivam Mavi for the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 season.  Mavi has been sidelined for the remainder of the tournament due to a groin injury, cutting short his campaign. Despite being picked up at his base price of INR 75 lakh during the auction, the fast bowler did not feature in any match for Hyderabad this year.

SRH have signed Ambrish at his base price of INR 30 lakh. Ambrish comes into the squad riding high on confidence after playing a pivotal role in India’s win at the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026. The young allrounder finished as India’s leading wicket-taker in the tournament, claiming 11 wickets and consistently delivering breakthroughs when needed. His standout performance came in the final against England, where he played a decisive role in defending a massive total of 412.
