Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton helped Mumbai Indians pull off a pulsating chase to defeat Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets in their IPL 2026 clash on Monday. Chasing a gigantic target of 229, Mumbai Indians came out with a fearless approach, with Rohit Sharma laying the foundation early. Along with him, Ryan Rickelton played a powerful innings.

The duo stitched together a blistering opening stand, with Rohit smashing 84 and Rickelton hammering 83, putting immense pressure on LSG bowlers. In the middle, Naman Dhir and Will Jacks scored 23 and 10 unbeaten to take the side home in 18.4 overs.

Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants put up a massive total of 228/5 in 20 overs after being asked to bat. LSG's innings was powered by a sensational knock from Nicholas Pooran, who unleashed a flurry of sixes. Pooran’s 63 off 21 balls also helped him notch up his first half-century of the season. Mitchell Marsh contributed 44 off 25 balls. Together, they added a crucial 94-run partnership. Meanwhile, Aiden Markram 31* and Himmat Singh 40* provided a late surge.
