HCA appoints Ambati Rayudu as director of cricket operations

Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has ushered in a new role after being appointed as head of cricket operations at Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA). 

"I am very happy to announce that I have been appointed as the Head of cricketing operations for HCA. by Justice P Naveen Rao(SMC), M Jeevan reddy (Secretary HCA) and the apex council," Rayudu wrote on X.

"It is a great opportunity to clean up a few things but I am more excited to see the immense cricketing talent in Hyderabad and Telangana flourish and produce more players to represent the country."

Rayudu, an experienced player, represented India in 55 ODIs and six T20Is during his playing days after making his international debut in 2013. He last appeared for India back in 2019 in an ODI against Australia. Rayudu also enjoyed a remarkably successful career in the IPL, winning six titles – three with Mumbai Indians and three with Chennai Super Kings.
