Temba Bavuma returns as South Africa reveal squad for Australia ODIs

South Africa have confirmed a full-strength squad for their upcoming three-match home series against Australia, with Temba Bavuma returning to lead the side. The series provides an important platform for proteas as they begin a major phase in their preparations for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
Bavuma returns to the ODI setup after a lengthy absence from the format, having last played an ODI in December 2025. Pacer Gerald Coetzee also makes his return to the ODI squad. His last ODI appearance came during the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in India.
The squad also features notable names such Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, Lungi Ngidi, David Miller, Corbin Bosch and Quinton de Kock. The three ODIs between South Africa and Australia will be played on September 24, 27 and 30 respectively.
