Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane expressed immense satisfaction after his team delivered a blistering performance against Delhi Capitals in a crucial Indian Premier League clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Friday. Following the comfortable victory, Rahane lauded the outstanding contribution of KKR’s spin trio and applauded the sensational century from Finn Allen that guided the team to a thumping win.

The victory marked a remarkable turnaround for Kolkata Knight Riders, who have now won four matches in a row after enduring a difficult stretch of six winless games earlier in the tournament. The trio of Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and Anukul Roy applied relentless pressure, making scoring extremely difficult for DC batters.

Delhi Capitals at the start looked comfortable following a half-century from Pathum Nissanka. However, once KKR spinners tightened the grip, DC lost momentum, finishing at 142/8 in 20 overs.

"I'm really happy for Finn Allen. He was struggling in the first four or five games, working really hard, but the way he batted tonight was fantastic. But I want to praise our bowlers again. We did well because of them. And they've been doing it so well consistently, especially those middle overs and the death overs. Our spinners, Sunil Narine, Varun and Anukul Roy, have been fantastic. Fielding-wise, yes, we are working really hard. Our fielding coach has been really strict with us. And that is what has been helping us. I mean, the result which you have been seeing about catches and ground fielding, credit goes to our fielding coach as well," Rahane said at the post-match presentation.

In their chase, KKR got help from Finn Allen, who delivered one of the most explosive innings of the season. The New Zealand batter remained unbeaten on a stunning 100 off 47 deliveries to launch KKR to victory in 14.2 overs. KKR's latest win has also strengthened their push towards a playoff spot.
