Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah made a thumping return to ODIs, playing a powerful role in India's six-wicket win over England in the first ODI on Tuesday in Birmingham. Making his first ODI appearance after a long time, Bumrah registered a massive record, reaching the milestone of 150 ODI wickets by dismissing England captain Harry Brook.

The huge achievement lifted him to the top of India's all-time ODI wicket-taking list on English soil. With 31 wickets in ODIs played in England, Bumrah moved ahead of Ravindra Jadeja, who previously held the record with 30 wickets. He now leads an impressive list of Indian bowlers.

Most ODI wickets for India in England:

Jasprit Bumrah - (31)

Ravindra Jadeja - (30)

Bhuvneshwar Kumar - (28)

Madan Lal - (27)

Mohammed Shami - (26)

Bumrah also became the third-fastest Indian bowler to claim 150 ODI wickets in terms of deliveries, accomplishing the record in 4,605 balls. Mohammed Shami, who achieved the feat in 4,070 deliveries, and Kuldeep Yadav, who took 4,513 balls, reached the mark quicker than Bumrah. Bumrah surpassed the records of former Indian pacers Ajit Agarkar (5,027 deliveries) and Irfan Pathan (5,131 deliveries).
