Australia have announced an exciting new-look squad for their upcoming white-ball tours of Pakistan and Bangladesh, with teenage batting sensation Oliver Peake and allrounder Liam Scott earning their maiden national call-ups. Another fresh face, Joel Davies, has also been rewarded with a place in Australia’s T20 squad for the three-match series against Bangladesh beginning on June 17.

The Bangladesh series will conclude Australia’s three-week tour of the subcontinent. Veteran star Glenn Maxwell has been left out of the T20I setup, while experienced allrounders Marcus Stoinis and Matt Short are unavailable due to commitments in franchise cricket.

Stoinis is currently representing the Seattle Orcas, while Short is part of the San Francisco Unicorns squad. Australia will also be without their pace trio of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Mitchell Starc for both the Pakistan and Bangladesh tours.

"It's always exciting to see new players get an opportunity to play international cricket and be a part of the national team," chair of selectors George Bailey said.

"The blend of experienced players coupled with new or returning players will provide a nice mix for these subcontinent tours".
