DC annihilate PBKS to seal thrilling win

Delhi Capitals registered a hard-fought three-wicket victory over Punjab Kings after successfully chasing down a challenging 211-run target on Monday at the HPCA Stadium. Chasing the target, DC did not begin on a positive note as they lost key batters early. KL Rahul, Abishek Porel and Tristan Stubbs departed in quick succession, putting the side under immense pressure.
However, Axar Patel and David Miller rose to the occasion with timely knocks of 56 and 51, respectively, to bring DC back in the chase. Down the order, young batter Madhav Tiwari provided the late flourish with a fearless cameo of 18* off eight deliveries to help DC complete the chase in 19 overs.
Earlier, Punjab Kings had posted a commanding 210/5 after being asked to bat. Captain Shreyas Iyer led from the front with an unbeaten 59 off 36 balls. Young opener Priyansh Arya gave the side a perfect start by hammering 56 off 33 deliveries, attacking the bowlers from the outset. Punjab also received valuable support from Cooper Connolly, who struck 38 off 27 balls, while Suryansh Shedge added late fireworks with a quickfire 21* off eight deliveries.
