Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has been signed by Yorkshire as a replacement for the injured Will Sutherland for their Vitality Blast campaign. Faheem is vastly experienced, having represented Pakistan in 85 T20Is and 17 Tests. He also carries the experience of playing in the Big Bash League and Pakistan Super League.

During the recently concluded season of the PSL (2026), Faheem became the second player in the history of the PSL to amass 1000 runs and register 100 wickets. He will be available throughout the Vitality Blast and will play two rounds of the County Championship.

"I'm delighted to be joining Yorkshire. Many of my fellow Pakistan players have represented the club and have spoken highly of both the environment and the quality of players within the squad," Faheem stated in a Yorkshire release.

"I'm really looking forward to arriving at Headingley."

Yorkshire's General Manager of Cricket Gavin Hamilton said that Faheem will be a valuable addition to the squad, bringing quality with both bat and ball.

“Faheem is an experienced multi-format player who will be a really valuable addition to the squad. He brings a great ability to score quick, lower order runs as well as the skill to make a real impact with the ball.”
