Kolkata Knight Riders, delivering an imperious performance, outgunned Gujarat Titans, registering a 29-run win in a high-scoring clash at Eden Gardens on Saturday. After being asked to bat, Kolkata Knight Riders unleashed an all-out assault on the Gujarat bowling attack. Their innings was defined by a sensational knock from Finn Allen, who smashed 93 runs off 35 deliveries. Allen’s fearless batting put Gujarat under pressure right from the start.

Young batter Angkrish Raghvanshi continued the momentum with a destructive unbeaten 82 off 44 balls. Adding further misery for Gujarat, Cameron Green played a rapid cameo, blasting 52 runs from 28 deliveries to guide KKR to 247/2 in 20 overs. Gujarat Titans struggled badly in the field and paid a heavy price for their mistakes. Four dropped catches gave KKR batters multiple lifelines, and they made full use of every opportunity.

Chasing an enormous target of 248, Gujarat Titans got a dream start, with skipper Shubman Gill responding brilliantly. He played a superb innings of 85, giving the side early hope. Gill also received strong support from Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler. Sudharsan remained unbeaten on 53, while Buttler hammered 57 with his trademark attacking style. Still, Gujarat failed to rack up the winning total, finishing on 218/4 in 20 overs.
