Kushal Bhurtel creates history with six sixes in an over

Nepal opener Kushal Bhurtel created history after demonstrating amazing batting displays in T20Is with six sixes in an over. During Nepal's opening match of the Asian Games Qualifier against China at the Singapore National Cricket Ground, Bhurtel achieved the rare feat of blasting six consecutive sixes in a single over, becoming only the sixth player in men's T20I history to do so.
The landmark moment came in the ninth over of Nepal's innings when Bhurtel slammed Chinese left-arm spinner Chen Zhuo Yue, launching the ball into the stands six times in succession. With this achievement, Bhurtel also became the second Nepalese cricketer to accomplish the milestone in T20Is.
His compatriot Dipendra Singh Airee had previously entered the record books with a six-sixes-over performance in 2024. The list of players who have achieved this extraordinary feat remains incredibly exclusive. Previously, Yuvraj Singh, Kieron Pollard, Dipendra Singh Airee, Darius Visser and Bulgaria's Manan Bashir have claimed their record.
