New Zealand unveil blockbuster home schedule

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has announced the Black Caps' action-packed international home schedule for the 2026–27 summer. The schedule, unveiled on Wednesday, will feature assignments across all formats of the game - Test, One-Day ODIs, and T20Is. The blockbuster schedule will also feature a highly anticipated tour by India. The visitors are set to play a high-octane multi-format series consisting of two Test matches, five ODIs, and five T20Is. 

According to the schedule, the first Test is scheduled to be played at Basin Reserve in Wellington, while Hagley Oval in Christchurch will host the second Test. Following India's visit, New Zealand will welcome Sri Lanka for a multi-format series. 

Sri Lanka's tour will feature two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is. Bay Oval and Seddon Park have been selected as the venues for the two Test matches. The 2026–27 home summer will be crucial for Test matches. Meanwhile, before hosting Sri Lanka, New Zealand will travel to Australia for four Tests. New Zealand women's Test is also set to play three T20Is and three ODIs against Bangladesh.
