"Since I started watching cricket": Harmanpreet Kaur ahead of Pakistan clash

As anticipation builds for the highly awaited Women's T20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has made it clear that her team's attention is totally on the match and nothing else. Kaur said that discussions within the Indian camp are all about the preparations for the match. She further stressed that her players are concentrating on giving their best performance on the field.
The high-profile match comes after last year's ODI World Cup meeting, where Kaur and Pakistan captain Fatima Sana did not exchange a handshake during the toss. However, Kaur indicated that her team's mindset remains unchanged, with all focus directed towards the cricketing contest itself.
"I think we are here for cricket, and we only talk about cricket, except that we don't talk about anything, and I don't even talk about anything except cricket. Cricket has been our dream from day one, and we only discuss cricket and for tomorrow's game, we are only thinking about it. It's another game which we are going to play. Definitely, pressure is going to be there," Kaur said at the press conference.
Kaur highlighted that pressure is an inevitable factor of playing at the highest level.
"I won't deny that there's no pressure - there is pressure. Since I started watching cricket, as a supporter I have felt that pressure, and now that we play pressure even more."
"But at the same time we always say that the more we enjoy this game, the better it is for us, because we are the lucky ones who got picked for this big occasion and we just want to enjoy ourselves on the field. More than anything, it is another game we are going to play tomorrow and we just want to play our best cricket," she said.
