Smriti Mandhana accomplishes massive milestone

India have registered a sensational start to their Women's T20I World Cup campaign, claiming astonishing wins in their first two games against Pakistan and the Netherlands, respectively. Women in blue began their campaign with a crushing 64-run win against Pakistan in the one-sided clash, with Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur playing their important roles, firing 68 and 36 runs. Maintaining the momentum, India once again came out all guns blazing to rout the Netherlands by 95 runs to keep themselves unbeaten in the tournament.
In the match against the Dutch also, in-form Smriti Mandhana led the charge with the bat, bludgeoning 74 off 47 balls to steer the side to a big total of 209/5 in 20 overs. She was well backed up by Shafali Verma, who slammed 55 off 38 balls. The Netherlands, while chasing the total, were bowled out for 114 in 17.3 overs following Indian bowlers Shree Charani's and Shafali Verma's decisive spells, taking four and three wickets, respectively.
Meanwhile, it was during the match against the Netherlands that experienced batter Mandhana blazed 11 boundaries and one six, which helped her complete 600 boundaries in T20Is. With this, Mandhana became the only player in the history of the format to accomplish this milestone. Notably, New Zealand veteran Suzie Bates is occupying the second spot with 521 boundaries, and Sri Lanka's Chamari Athapaththu is sitting in third with 493 boundaries.
