IND vs AFG, ODIs: Harshit Rana added to India's squad for third ODI

Pacer Harshit Rana has been added to India's squad for the third ODI against Afghanistan, scheduled to be held in Chennai on Saturday. Rana returns to the side for the first time since February earlier this year, having missed the T20I World Cup and the Indian Premier League (IPL). He had been sidelined following a knee injury for which he underwent surgery. In a statement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Rana has linked up with the squad after completing his rehabilitation programme at the Centre of Excellence.
"The Men's Selection Committee has added Mr Harshit Rana to the India squad for the third and final IDFC First Bank ODI against Afghanistan. Mr Rana, who has completed his rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE), has linked up with the ODI squad in Chennai," the BCCI stated in a release.
The fast bowler was last seen in Indian colours earlier this year in January during the ODI series against New Zealand. Notably, Rana is already in India's T20I squads for the upcoming Ireland and England tours and the third ODI against Afghanistan will help him get into the rhythm. India have already clinched the series with an unassailable 2-0 lead and would hope to complete the series sweep.
Updated India squad for third ODI: Shubman Gill (c), Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer (vc), KL Rahul (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Prince Yadav, Gurnoor Brar, Harsh Dubey, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Harshit Rana
