England confirm strong squad for India ODIs

England have named a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against India, with promising youngster James Coles earning a maiden ODI call-up. The left-hander has been impressive in the domestic circuit with his batting and handy left-arm spin.

Fast bowler Josh Tongue, who is yet to make his ODI debut, has also been named in the squad. Star pacer Jofra Archer also returns to the side. The squad also has powerful hitters in Ben Duckett and Jacob Bethell at the top of the order. Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler and Will Jacks consolidate the middle order. England's bowling attack features Josh Tongue, Gus Atkinson, Adil Rashid, and Saqib Mahmood.
