England are preparing to take on Australia in the final of the Women's T20 World Cup on Sunday at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London. The showdown will renew the greatest rivalry between both sides, who enjoyed tremendously successful campaigns during the group stage of the tournament. It will be the fourth time England and Australia have faced each other in a Women's T20 World Cup final, following previous clashes in 2012, 2014, and 2018.

Talking about Australia, they earned their place in the final with a commanding eight-wicket victory over West Indies in the semi-final at The Oval on Tuesday. They have been the unbeaten side in the tournament, having played with utter discipline across all departments. Players like Beth Mooney, Georgia Voll, Phoebe Litchfield, Ellyse Perry and Ashleigh Gardner have played key roles in taking Australia into the final.

On the other hand, England sealed their spot in the decider after coming out with an impressive all-round performance against South Africa. They claimed a 40-run victory over South Africa at The Oval in the second semi-final on Thursday to set up a competitive final.

Australia are chasing their seventh T20I World Cup title, having claimed the crown in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2023, respectively. England, meanwhile, will look to recreate the magic of 2009 when they lifted the inaugural Women's T20 World Cup trophy at Lord's. And now once again they have the golden chance to win their second title at the same venue. For England, captain Nat Sciver-Brunt made a big impact after her return from injury, smashing a splendid knock of 75 to fire her side into the blockbuster final. Other major players for England would be Heather Knight, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Amy Jones, Sophie Ecclestone and Alice Capsey.
