India reveal squad for Zimbabwe T20Is, Sanju Samson dropped

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named India's squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, set to be played in Harare later this month. The massive development has been the exclusion of wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson.
Despite having played a big role in India's win at the T20I World Cup 2026, he has not been included in the 15-player squad. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who recently made his international debut during India's second T20I of the ongoing five-match series against England, has been incorporated in the squad.
Meanwhile, a lot of other familiar names have also not found any place in the squad. Pacers Prasidh Krishna, Harshit Rana and Arshdeep Singh have been left out. Spin-bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar and leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi are among the other players who failed to make the cut. Rinku Singh has earned a recall. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav has also made a comeback to the T20I squad
