ZIM vs IND, 2nd T20I: Ishan, Tilak star as India decimate Zimbabwe
India cliched a dominant 90-run victory over Zimbabwe in the second T20I at Harare on Saturday to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Like the first T20I, India were in scorching form in all departments that helped them demolish Zimbabwe. After being asked to bat, India made full use of the conditions, posting a formidable total of 219/5 in 20 overs.
The innings was led by an outstanding partnership between Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma, scoring 81 and 60*, respectively. The duo added 94 runs for the fourth wicket, lifting India to a big total. Earlier, youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi provided a flying start, making an eye-catching 20 from nine balls with three fours and a six.
Chasing the target, Zimbabwe struggled from the start as they failed to get any help from their batters. India's bowlers were relentless, regularly picking up wickets to corner Zimbabwe. With no batter stepping up to perform, Zimbabwe were bowled out for 129 in 17.5 overs.
