Saud Shakeel and Abdullah Shafique added to Pakistan's squads for West Indies and Pakistan Tests

Pakistan have recalled Saud Shakeel and Abdullah Shafique to their squad for the team's ongoing tour of West Indies for the two-match Test series and the subsequent tour of England Both players will join the team during the ongoing tour of the West Indies and will also remain with the squad for the subsequent Test series in England.

As per the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Abdullah Shafique has been brought into the squad as a replacement for Abdullah Fazal, who has been ruled out after suffering a back injury during a training session ahead of the opening Test in Trinidad. Fazal will miss both the West Indies and England tours.

Shafique is set to return to Pakistan's Test setup for the first time since October 2025. As for Shakeel, his inclusion is also a welcome boost for Pakistan. Earlier he had been left out of the touring squads because of fitness concerns. According to PCB, Saud Shakeel has been brought into the squad as an "additional replacement".
