India's batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has made remarkable gains in the latest ICC Men's T20I batting rankings. The highly skilled batter jumped 230 places to rise to a career-best 48th in the rankings. Sooryavanshi's sensational rise follows his staggering performance in India's recently concluded three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, where he shone with two half-centuries, ending the series as the leading scorer with 151 runs at an average of 50.33.

Notably India swept the series 3-0, winning all three matches, with Sooryavanshi being named Player of the Series. In the first T20I, Sooryavanshi fired 50 runs off 18 deliveries to make his crucial contribution. And his most eye-catching knock came in the third and final game in which he unleashed his brutal assault to bring up 81 off 49 balls. Ishan Kishan continues to dominate the rankings

Meanwhile, Indian ODI captain Shubman Gill reclaimed top spot in the rankings in the ODI format, replacing New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell. Daryl Mitchell had been at the top since January this year. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma continue at three and four, respectively.
