Ireland have revealed their squad for the first three matches of the upcoming five-match ODI series against Afghanistan, with Paul Stirling set to lead the side following the recovery from an injury picked up at the Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Players Josh Little 

Matt Hollard, Craig Young, Barry McCarthy, Jordan Neill, and David Delany were unavailable due to fitness setbacks. Nonetheless, the squad features some well-known players in Mark Adair, Andrew Balbirnie, Curtis Campher, George Dockrell, Harry Tector, and Lorcan Tucker.

Meanwhile, Jai Moondra has been handed a maiden ODI call-up after his impressive performances in the recent T20I series against England. This will also be Ireland's first series under new head coach Gary Wilson. The first ODI will be held on August 5 in Bready.
