West Indies reveal squads for India tour, Jason Holder rested

West Indies have announced their squads for the upcoming white-ball series against India, with Kamil Pooran receiving his first T20I call-up following an impressive Caribbean Premier League campaign. Pooran was the breakthrough performer of the 2026 CPL, amassing 273 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of 159.64. Shimron Hetmyer is also part of the T20I squad; however, he has been left out of the ODI leg of the tour. Jason Holder has been omitted from both squads, as he has been rested.

Notably, Holder has not appeared in an ODI for West Indies since July 2023. Meanwhile, opener John Campbell returns to the ODI squad. Jewel Andrew has also been included in both squads. West Indies will begin their India tour with three ODIs, which will be followed by five T20Is.

The opening ODI is scheduled to be played on September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram, with the second and third matches set to take place in Guwahati and New Chandigarh on September 30 and October 3, respectively.
