India A to play three four-day matches against New Zealand
India A will face New Zealand A in three four-day matches ahead of the two-match Test series between India and New Zealand, slated to be played later in November. The four-day matches will be played from October 24 to November 10, running parallel with India’s white-ball tour of New Zealand, featuring five T20Is and as many ODIs.
“The domestic red-ball summer will also get an injection of international class as New Zealand A host India A for three four-day matches in Christchurch starting October 24,” NZC said in a statement.
The first Test between New Zealand and India will begin on November 19, with the first match scheduled to be held in Wellington. The second Test will be played at Christchurch from November 27 to December 1. Notably, the four-day matches will help Indian players get accustomed to the conditions in New Zealand.
