India hammer wobbly Pakistan in Asia Cup clash

India women crushed Pakistan women in Dubai on Saturday, claiming a seven-wicket win in their Asia Cup clash. Deciding to bat, Pakistan batters struggled from the outset, with Indian spinners marinating a complete dominance. India’s spin attack proved too difficult to handle as Pakistan suffered a surprise batting collapse under relentless pressure.
Unable to build partnerships, Pakistan were dismissed for 55 runs, their lowest-ever score in T20I cricket. For India, Shree Charani and Prema Rawat took three wickets apiece. Deepti Sharma returned with two wickets, while Shafali Verma chipped in with one scalp.
Chasing a target of 56, India stumbled a bit before chasing the target in 8.4 overs. India lost three wickets in quick succession, but they managed to get over the line without any further hiccups, with Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma remaining unbeaten on 18 and 12, respectively. This is, meanwhile, India’s third consecutive win, as they so far remain unbeaten in the tournament.
