India produced a sensational batting performance to defeat New Zealand in the third ODI at Wellington Regional Stadium, taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the series. After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, India restricted New Zealand to 198/3 before chasing down the target in just 13.2 overs. Abhishek Sharma stole the show with a breathtaking 113 off 38 balls, while young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi contributed an explosive 45 off 19 deliveries to guide India to a dominant victory.

New Zealand made a competitive start with Finn Allen scoring 40 off 25 balls before Daryl Mitchell took charge with an impressive 82 off 52 deliveries. Bevon Jacobs provided a late boost with 39 off 23 balls, helping the hosts reach 198/3. Tim Seifert fell early for three runs, with Arshdeep Singh providing the breakthrough. Axar Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy also picked up a wicket each, although the Indian bowlers struggled to contain the scoring during the final overs.

India's chase turned into a one-sided contest as Abhishek and Sooryavanshi launched an extraordinary assault on the New Zealand bowling attack. Jacob Duffy conceded 26 runs in his opening over as both openers attacked from the outset. Abhishek reached his half-century in just 15 balls before racing to 113 off 38 deliveries at a remarkable strike rate of 297.37. Sooryavanshi struck 45 before Matthew Fisher dismissed him, with Mitchell taking an excellent catch at long-on. Sanju Samson added 18, while captain Shreyas Iyer managed five before falling. Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir then helped complete the chase as India reached the target in just 13.2 overs.

With this victory, India now lead the series 3-0, with the next match scheduled for October 30 at Eden Park, Auckland, where New Zealand will look to bounce back.
