Australia women’s historic tour of South Africa for a maiden bilateral series has been pushed back by a week in order to adjust both teams' participation in the ICC's inaugural Women's T20 Champions Trophy. Now, the tour, featuring three T20Is, three ODIs and one Test, will begin on March 24 and end on April 18.

Australia will take on South Africa in three T20Is to be played on March 24, 27 and 30 at Kimberley, Benoni and Potchefstroom. Following T20Is, both teams will turn their attention to the ODIs, scheduled for April 3, 7 and 10 in Durban, Paarl and Gqeberha. Notably, the ODIs are part of the ICC Women's Championship qualification journey for the ODI World Cup in 2029.

"Hosting a heralded team like Australia will always be a special occasion, let alone doing so for the first time," the Cricket South Africa CEO, Pholetsi Moseki, said.

"We are very appreciative of the work put in by both Cricket South Africa and Cricket Australia to ensure the tour's new dates were confirmed following the scheduling of the ICC Women's Champions Trophy."

The change in schedule was prompted by the ICC's decision to advance the inaugural Women's T20 Champions Trophy to February 2027, moving it from its originally proposed June window.
